Just when you thought you had enough reality shows to binge, we present you with your latest obsession, Qesma w Naseeb. The Arabic YouTube series is the region’s answer to the Turkish TV show, Aşk Adasi.
The dating show sees the genetically gifted guys and girls living together in a villa in hopes of finding true love. But as new “bombshells” shake up existing couples, the contestants are at the risk of being sent home from the villa via the “rescue my broken heart” boat.
At the helm of all the juicy action is the show’s host, Lebanese star Rita Harb. In an exclusive conversation with Cosmo ME, Rita spills the tea on her career this far, as well as some inside scoop on the show.
Get to know Rita Harb, host of Qesmah w Naseeb
Lebanese media personality Rita Harb is a model, actress, presenter and many things in between. Beginning her career as a model, Rita eventually landed her first talk show, “Shar Baad Shar” on Lebanon’s on Al Yawm channel OSN. Her presenting career took off, leading her to host several network events and shows, including “Murex D’or”, “Miss International”, “Mr Lebanon” and “I3tirafat ma3 Rita”.
Qesmah w Naseeb is Rita’s first reality TV presenting gig, something she says she was super excited to dive into, “My journey on ‘Qesmah w Naseeb’ is very meaningful to me because it marks my first experience in tele-reality after years of hosting talk shows focused on social, cultural, and entertainment topics”.
As her career progressed into acting, she became best known for roles in leading TV shows and movies like “Dareb El Ramel”, “Stiletto”, “Al Kha’en” and “Shabab Dayaa”. Talking to Cosmo ME, Rita detailed the many ways her acting career prepared her for the demands of working on a reality TV show, stating:
“The shoot took place in Turkey for two months, during which we filmed nearly three episodes each day. It was exhausting but extremely fun and interesting at the same time. It was a unique and special journey, particularly because I shared personal life experiences to support the contestants. I also gained valuable insights from them and together we created unforgettable moments”.

And it seems we aren’t the only ones hoping for a second season. With high ratings and a growing fan base, Qesmah w Naseeb is quickly becoming a hit. For Rita Harb, a second season is also on her wishlist, stating,
“I’m very happy that the initial episodes of the show have received positive feedback and are resonating with the audience. The high viewership ratings hint at the exciting possibility of a second season. Stay tuned!”
