Tips and tricks on gaining international success from Osama Marwah

The video creator has been on his way to fame for almost five years. He said you need to start by knowing what to do and go for your dream. In the very beginning, Osama’s goal was to make good videos, and, oh boy, he managed to reach it. Kudos for that 👏.

“Make sure you stay consistent. Make sure you have your goal, your target. Even if it doesn’t work, you keep trying and remain consistent and positive. You have to know there’s no other option but to achieve what you put your mind to.”

It’s hard to believe, but Osama started by working behind the scenes with his bro (another creator in the fam), as he was actually too shy to be in front of the camera. The confidence came later.

On viral videos…

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you ever disappeared? What the reaction would be? Osama had these thoughts too and decided to actually check. The blogger set cameras all over his apartment and then shared the footage with the world for everyone to enjoy. Within a day, it passed, ahem, 3 million views on YouTube and was all over other platforms. Osama knew it might go that way, but it took a couple of years to get to a first viral video.

Before that, the blogger had to wait for his videos to pick up. Osama Marwah set a “bottom ground” number that would be enough and kept on trying. Also, think positively!

“If one video did so bad, there’s only up from here. I just use this mentality to try and keep pushing forward. That’s how we really dealt with not going viral. Slowly, we raised the bottom number, so when we reached it, we were happy with it. If a video goes viral, it’s cool. But if it doesn’t, we are still at a consistent and sustainable number,” Osama explained.

Osama Marwah on staying true to himself while still getting views

Struggle because of ever-changing algorithms is *real*. However, Osama Marwah believes that the ability to adapt and the will to follow the trends can help a lot. If TikTok is trending, you need to find a way to adapt your YouTube video to it. Same with shorts and reels.

“Let’s say there are creators in the scene, and then suddenly you stop hearing about them. Usually, it’s because they decide not to adapt. They thought they were bigger than the changes. But there’s a whole new platform and a way of doing things. It can also happen because someone is arrogant and thinks they are bigger than any platforms or changes. That’s when you see bigger creators fall off,” Osama thinks.

Still, he advises to be true to yourself and your initial goals.

Osama Marwah on keeping the balance

Do you remember the *marathon* Osama had during The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022? He filmed and posted every single day for 28 days of the tournament. Even though we really did enjoy those videos, it’s hard to imagine how the blogger managed to maintain balance in life. And not only with these videos! As we know, Osama loves to do some ~crazy~ stuff.

“If you do something you like, it doesn’t feel like work. I like to film videos, see the product, and work on the idea. So it doesn’t feel like work. But at the times when it does, that’s when we need a good team. If you’re slowing down, they’re picking you up,” he said.

Osama doesn’t recommend building a team when you’re just starting. FYI, he hired an editor only after he reached 3 million followers. Before, the blogger slayed all the tasks himself. Later on, though, you might need to find an editor and manager to take care of the business side of things.

Another good way for Osama to recharge is simply reading comments that fans leave all over the internet. They give him extra energy.

“We remind ourselves why we’re doing this. We’re making people happy. We’re leaving a good impact. So that’s what helps us to keep going,” Osama said.

On hosting Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards…

Osama Marwah will host the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards Abu Dhabi 2023, and he couldn’t be more excited. The awards will take place at Etihad Arena on September 16th.

“I really look forward to seeing Jessie J. It’s all so crazy. I also know that Elyanna, Now United, and other stars will be there. If we all get together, we will break the internet. Also, I can’t wait to see them all slimed up. You know, it’s the Kids Choice Awards,” Osama said.

The blogger grew up watching Nickelodeon and remembers the *iconic* award, the orange blimp. Now, he is eager to see it IRL.

Good luck on the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards Abu Dhabi 2023, Osama 🫶.
