Love is Blind is another winter reality TV show that we’ve been obsessed with. Now that season 3 is releasing the remaining episodes on November 2, we’re waiting to see which couples will *actually* make it down the aisle. Thankfully, Cosmo ME sat down with fan-fave Nancy Rodriguez to get the exclusive deets.

Nancy is a part-time Real Estate Investor, and a full-time ball of sunshine on the show. She discusses setting boundaries if she believes that love *is* blind, and her favourite season 2 moments.

Cosmo ME: What was your first reaction when you got the news that you were going to be cast in Love is Blind

Nancy: The moment I found out I was on the final cast, I screamed and laughed! I really like science and especially the psychology aspect of experiments. The hypothesis here is, “Is love truly blind”? My mom was the first person I told and she was so excited that I could potentially come back home with a fiancé.

C: Did you have any expectations going into the show?

N: I have the best of friends. Interestingly, my friends did an amazing job of watching the first season and they started a google doc of notes. The notes included a list of expectations and questions to ask through the dates. I thought I was coming in prepared… However, the moment I walked into the woman’s lounge before meeting the 15 guys, I threw away my notes. I had one question on my first dates with the men, “What does your ideal day look like?” Then, I took it from there. I do believe leaving behind all of my expectations allowed me to go into their experiment with a completely open heart, mind, and soul.

C: Do you have any regrets after the show?

N: Mostly, I learned the importance of setting boundaries.

C: What is one piece of advice you’d give to women who are searching for love out there?

N: I came into this experiment feeling independent in my emotional, mental, and financial being. My foundation is that I love myself and thank myself for being the person I am. Love from someone else is extra. When you are looking for love, find it within yourself first, and then it allows you to open up your mind, soul, and body for someone to love you.

C: Do you think Love is Blind?

N: In my experience, I believe Love… IS Blind but I think it worked for me because I have a deep love for myself first. This allowed me to love someone else, grant them grace, and embrace them for their weaknesses. I blindly loved them for who they are at their core.

C: If you’ve watched Love is Blind season 2, what was your favourite moment from the show?

N: I love, love! So watching the weddings was my favourite! I cried for some and cheered for Deepti!
