Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury were the couple everyone thought would go the distance. From their swoon-worthy romance on Love Island season five in 2019 to making it all the way to the final (though they narrowly missed the win to Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea), these two were relationship goals.

They even went on to share some of the biggest milestones: welcoming their adorable daughter, Bambi, early last year and sealing the deal with a breathtaking cliffside proposal just last July.

But in a plot twist that no one saw coming, the internet was hit with some major tea: Molly-Mae and Tommy have officially called it quits. Cue the collective gasp.

Molly-Mae took to Instagram on August 14th to drop the news, leaving fans shook. Her story, posted on a stark black background, was as raw as it gets. “Never in a million years did I ever think I’d have to write this,” she shared. “After five years of being together, I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way. I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end.”

The internet is in shambles after the news of Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury’s split. But while fans are mourning their fave couple’s breakup, the real drama is all about the money.

After five years of being #CoupleGoals, the duo’s assets are now up for grabs. We’re talking about their stunning £4 million Cheshire mansion that took them three years to find and has been their pet project ever since. Now, the big question is: Who’s going to keep the keys, or will they put it on the market and split the cash?

But that’s just the start. Tommy’s bank account might be taking a major hit, too. With estimates saying his earnings could drop by up to 40% without Molly-Mae’s social media star power backing him up, he could find himself in a tough spot. Brands loved them as a power couple, but solo Tommy? It might not have the same ring to it.

Tommy’s losing followers fast—over 20,000 in the last 30 days, according to a Coveragely analysis using Social Blade data. This dip came right after the breakup news.

And fewer followers means fewer zeros on Tommy’s paycheck. He could be losing up to £40,000 per sponsored post—ouch.

Molly-Mae, on the other hand, seems poised to keep shining. Her personal brand is solid, and she’s likely to keep stacking those opportunities. Tommy, though, might have to hustle a bit harder to keep up the same level of influence and income without his other half.
