As always, the 2020 Grammys were a lavish affair. The celebrities wore their fancy dresses, the goody bags were reportedly worth $30,000, and the ceremony went down in Los Angeles’ Staples Center.

But one person who we can always rely on to bring the vibe back down to earth is Lewis Capaldi, who made his Grammys debut during last night’s ceremony. The singer was nominated in the Best Song category for ‘Someone You Love’, which he lost out to Billie Eilish for ‘Bad Guy’.

While he might not be taking home an actual Grammy, he does win the award for the Best Red Carpet Presenceâ„¢, thanks to this hilarious series of photos of the singer before the ceremony started:

Fans were loving Lewis on social media, taking to Twitter to praise his silliness and thank him for making the Grammys entertaining, “The king of red carpet poses, I stan one Lewis Capaldi,” one person wrote.

“Imagine how boring the #Grammys would be without Lewis Capaldi,” another said, while a third added, “@LewisCapaldi deserved a Grammy purely for that red carpet presence.”

During the ceremony, Lewis tweeted about a hilarious mishap which involved someone mistaking him for a member of staff.

“A lady at the Grammys has just come up and offered to take my seat because she thought I was one of the people who sits in the chairs to fill them when someone gets up to use the bathroom #GRAMMYs,” he tweeted to his 927k followers.

The singer also shared a photo of him on the toilet at the show, with the caption, “#GRAMMYs BABY!!!”
