Our favourite Gen Z Egyptian actress Laila Zaher, daughter of actor Ahmad Zaher, is going to become a wifey.
The star is set to marry Hisham Gamal. We are *so* happy for the couple.
Sharing the major life moment, the couple took to Instagram to announce the adorable news, sharing: “We read Al Fatiha a couple of days ago, and our engagement ceremony will take place soon. ❤️ We ask everyone to pray for our success and happiness 🤲🏻.”
Laila Zaher is an Egyptian household name, having most notably starred in the world-renowned Egyptian trilogy Omar & Salma – alongside legendary actors Tamer Hosny, Mai Ezz Eldin, and her very own sister, Malak Zaher.
Hisham Gamal is the CEO of Roznama Productions, a well-established media and news company producing music albums, TV series, commercials, concerts and movies in the Middle East. As creative and gifted as his fiancée-to-be, Hisham is additionally a singer, actor, producer, director, and songwriter. They’re the blueprint for a power couple.
Laila’s father, Ahmad Zaher, also took to Instagram to celebrate the ceremonious occasion by posting a sentimental family photo and penning: “All the best wishes to the newlyweds, and a thousand congratulations to my sweetheart and soul, Lili.”
Similarly, Laila’s sister Malak Zaher shared, in a heartfelt Instagram post: “My heart is literally so full no words can describe how I’m feeling right now may you have a lifetime full of love and happiness my beautiful bride and groom 🤵🏻👰🏼♀️✨.”
Following the joyous announcement, the couple received an outpouring of support from family, friends, and some of the biggest names in the Egyptian film and music industry.
