Cosmo ME sat down with aespa to ask some burning questions about their new mini album…
Cosmo ME: Tell us about your fourth album release Drama, is it in fact, bringing the drama?
KARINA: The fourth mini-album contains a total of six songs, with the title track ‘Drama‘ showcasing a dynamic blend of impactful drum beats and sophisticated synth bass, creating a hip-hop dance track. The lyrics convey a confident attitude, stating, “It starts with me, Drama.”
Cosmo ME: What does this mini album mean to you?
KARINA: It vividly showcases the colors that aespa possesses, particularly through the title track which stands out as the most high-quality song in terms of performance. It’s a song that also shows aespa, as a core, to the fans the most.
Cosmo ME: For anyone who hasn’t listened to your album, which song do you want to recommend, and why?
NINGNING: ‘Trick or Trick.’ We surprised our fans with a stage performance at our 3rd-anniversary fan meeting. The dance break is intense, and the song perfectly captures aespa’s unique charisma. I highly recommend it.

Cosmo ME: What message would you like to send to all your fans for your fourth mini-album?
NINGNING: This mini album conveys the message of crafting a new narrative in our own unique way. We aim to inspire our fans to embrace the role of protagonists in their own lives, penning stories that are distinctly and authentically theirs.
Cosmo ME: What were your inspirations behind this album, and what are you looking forward to creating more of in 2024?
KARINA: In 2024, our goal is to craft an album that not only features diverse and captivating stages but also showcases aespa’s unique colours and performances for our fans. Through this journey, we envision growing into an even more accomplished artist group, as aespa.
Cosmo ME: Tell us about your skincare routine during album preparation and music video shoots
GISELLE: Staying well-hydrated is essential during music video shoots! Since the set can get quite dusty, we pay extra attention to thorough cleansing after filming.
Cosmo ME: What is one skincare tip you need to share with your fans?
GISELLE: In winter, with the heater running, the indoor air can become dry. Applying night cream before bedtime helps keep the skin moisturized!

Cosmo ME: What are your dream travel destinations in the Middle East?
GISELLE: I’ve heard there are many delicious foods in the Middle East. I want to go to Saudi Arabia and try baklava and explore tasty desserts like kaymak.
KARINA: I’ve heard a lot about water slides in Dubai, so I want to visit Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark. Also, being a fan of mystery genres, I’d love to visit the Egyptian pyramids and see the pharaohs.
WINTER: I’ve always loved nature and plants, so I’d love to visit the Miracle Garden in Dubai!
NINGNING: I’d like to explore different Middle Eastern cuisines and also visit Dubai Safari Park for a unique experience!
Cosmo ME: Do you have any plans to travel to the Middle East soon?
WINTER: Unfortunately, there are no immediate plans to meet MYs in the Middle East, but I really want to visit and meet our fans as soon as possible.
Cosmo ME: As you’ve got plenty of fans here who love you as well…. What message would you like to send to all your fans in the Middle East?
WINTER: We haven’t had the chance to meet our fans in the Middle East in person yet, However, we hope that in 2024, we hope to have the opportunity to meet our fans in the Middle East soon. We are looking forward to hearing the chants and cheers of our Middle Eastern fans when we visit to perform. We ask for your continued love and support for aespa and our music until then.
