C: What was a piece of advice that you got before you joined Bollywood?

JK: A piece of advice that I got before I got into Bollywood was to not get into it. They said I was too naïve.

C: Who are your role models in the industry?

JK: My biggest role models in the industry are definitely Alia, my dad, and Anushka Sharma.

C: What is your skincare routine?

JK: My skincare routine is very basic, unfortunately. I just have a ton of water and I try putting as many seasonal fruits on my face as I can. Strawberries are great with a little bit of yogurt and honey, mangoes are also great, and potatoes are good if you’ve got a tan. Feel free to experiment with your skincare!

C: What has been your strangest fan encounter?

JK: I think there was a couple that stalked me all over the Dubai Mall, last to last time that I was here, and they kept sneaking pictures of me, which I thought was cute and they followed me to Candilicious. They kept pretending to buy candy and I knew that they weren’t, but I was like, let them have that moment. It was sweet.

C: When you’re out and about, do you prefer being asked for pictures or would you rather have your personal space?

JK: Please ask me for pictures. I’m very flattered always when I get asked for pictures and if I’m really in a rush or in a crappy mood, I’ll politely decline but sneaking pictures just throws me off and makes me feel like an animal in a zoo. I have this habit because I’m always on the go. Even in Bombay, I eat food in my car, and every time I stop at a signal there are people taking pictures of me through the window. I literally feel like I’m like an animal in a cage. It’s quite sad now that I hear myself say it out loud.

C: Tell us a little more about your collaboration with Aldo.

JK: It’s a collaboration that I’m extremely thankful for and thrilled about because not only are they such a big universal brand that so many women use and wear, but it’s a brand that I think I’ve always used and taken pride in wearing and I think their products and designs have always made me feel confident, comfortable and accentuated many of my looks. So it was a collaboration that I’ll always cherish. They’re perfect for the festive season and can be paired with Indian wear as well.
