Umm…is it just us or did we somehow step back into 2007 and right every wrong. Unless you’ve been living on an isolated internet-free island in the Maldives (which btw if you are, that’s amazing), karma brought 2007 back into our lives and made a few necessary adjustments (as she’s known to do).
Between Paris, Britney, Lindsey, among a few others, all we can say is…that’s hot.
Scroll down to check out all the celeb moments that have happened this month proving our favourite y2k icons are making a *comeback*…
Paris Hilton
Paris Hilton married her dream man and longtime friend, Carter Reum, on 11 November. The wedding was held at her grandfather’s estate in Bel-Air with her closest star-studded friends and family by her side. Kim Kardashian, Nicole Ricci, Demi Lovato were in attendance.
Paris captioned on her Instagram photo “My wedding day felt like pure magic. It was everything I had envisioned in my mind. My incredible @OscarDeLaRenta gown transformed me into the bride I knew I would one day become. It was right out of a storybook. Dreams do come true.”
Britney Spears
After enduring a 13-year long conservatorship, where Britney was under strict control by her father, it ended on 12 November by a Los Angeles judge. For much of Britney’s adult life, she’s had limited input into her career, finances, and family matters, including the amount of time she spends with her children. Concerned fans were so outraged by the tyrannical state imposed by Britney’s conservatorship that the ‘Free Britney’ movement (and accompanying hashtag) was born.
Now that Britney’s free, we have no doubt that she’s going to flow into a seriously positive and well-deserved space. #FreedBritney
Lindsay Lohan
Dubai resident Lindsay Lohan also has some exciting news. She’s currently shooting a yet-to-be-titled holiday rom-com for Netflix to be released next year. Lindsay also is debuting her own podcast. She captioned her announcement post on Instagram with, “I’m excited to partner with Studio 71 in the development and production of my podcast. I’m looking forward to connecting more with my fans and having intimate conversations with thought leaders and friends across all industries.”

Jessica Simpson
Imagine not owning your own name. That’s exactly what happened to Jessica Simpson, but not anymore. Jessica recently won the right to her name and her brand, The Jessica Simpson Collection after a lengthy legal battle. She posted the above photo of herself with her mother on Instagram and captioned it with, “I am truly humbled to reclaim 100% ownership of MY name and my brand. It was a long journey getting to this point. I was told no, that brand ownership was out of the question, that I was not relevant enough, and I would never have 100%. My mom Tina Simpson and I remained steadfast, patient, determined, brave, and strong. Today we can look back and say we beat all odds stacked against us. We withstood the battle and today we confidently claim victory! The entire Jessica Simpson Collection belongs to us!” Congrats, Jess!
Taylor Swift
This week, Swifties around the world united, and cried, in unison. Taylor re-released her 2012 album ‘Red‘, this time named ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’ in an effort to regain ownership over her own music, which she claims was sold to an investment fund without her permission. She also performed the 10-minute version of her song “All Too Well“ recently when she guest hosted on ‘Saturday Night Live.’ Let’s just say, we’re happy we’re not Jake (👀)…or that scarf.
