Dubai Bling is known for its spicy storylines and full-on drama.

And many Netflix fans have wondered if the show is as real as it seems (with speculation rife that it’s scripted).

However, cast member Mona Kattan‘s good friend Sima Ved has shut down any speculation that the fallouts and feuds are fake on the UAE show.

Speaking to Reality Titbit in 2024, the Founder and Chairwoman of Apparel Group, who has appeared on Dubai Bling, shared how when she starred in the hit series she expected it to be scripted — but it’s not.

“It was way better than I anticipated it would be. It was a lot more fun, to be honest. I really thought that I was going to be conscious, asked to do things that were out of my normal character but I wasn’t. They were keeping it so real,” she shared.

Confirming that the drama is not faked for the cameras, she continued: “I would have to say almost 95 per cent or 98 per cent of it is real, so I don’t think it’s scripted at all from what I gathered.”

When it comes to the other cast members “issues or entanglements” she added: “I think they’re pretty much real. I’ve seen them play themselves out, even when they’re not on camera.”

Fake or not, there’s no denying that the show’s drama has us in a chokehold.
