The first season of the show ended with uncertainty from some of the cast, and not to mention that we, the fans have a lot of unanswered questions. While Netflix has yet to officially announce renewal the series, according to RadioTimes, some parts of season 2 may have already been filmed. In season one, there were several FaceTime dates, so the cast can potentially filmed season two remotely as a result of the ongoing pandemic.
Will the cast of season two remain the same?
Even though the cast of the first series were mainly Indians, the director of the show, Smriti Mundhra tells Oprah Magazine that she would love to have a more diverse cast going forward - does this mean that the show won't be called "Indian Matchmaking"?
"Now that people know what to expect [from Indian Matchmaking], I suspect there are going to be people who will reach out to us for season 2, who want to be on the show specifically to bring up issues — whether it's patriarchy, colourism, or religious diversity," said Smriti.
To us, it sounds like a season two of Indian Matchmaking could be on the cards. Stay tuned to Cosmo for all the updates.
