If you’re wondering what she’s up to now, then we’re bringing you the exclusive deets in the region of Dixie’s latest campaign shoot with sports tycoon Puma for its new launch, the Kosmo Rider, as part of PUMA’s She Moves Us platform.

“Since I’m constantly creating through digital platforms, I always focus on doing what makes me comfortable and making sure the content is really expressive of who I am,” says Dixie D’Amelio. “I am so excited to be wearing the Kosmo Rider as a part of PUMA’s She Moves Us platform and hope to inspire other young creators to always be true to who they are.”

What does it mean to you to be part of “She Moves Us” and the PUMA Family?
Dixie D’Amelio: I love that PUMA uses its platform to highlight all different types of women, celebrating their achievements, and telling their real stories. The best thing we can do is to shine a light on other strong women.

Who has inspired you or been a positive role model in your life?
D: My parents have inspired me so much as they are always supportive yet know when to give us the room to make mistakes and grow. As far as role models, I have to say my mom; she is giving, caring, and always there for our family yet she is also really strong and stands up for what she believes in.

What is one important thing you’ve learned so far about having a successful career?
D: The most important thing I have learned about success is that it means something different to everyone and that only you can define what it means to you. When you set your own goals and milestones, the only person that you need to impress is yourself.

Have there been any sacrifices that you’ve had to make for your career?
D: Being in the public eye you sacrifice privacy but that is something that we have chosen to do and sharing my life with my followers and being open, to me, will never be a sacrifice.

How would you describe a strong woman?
D
: Someone who is an individual has a mind of their own and uses their platform to raise others up.

How do you overcome obstacles that arise in both your life and career?
D: Everyone knows that I’m really close with my family and they’re the ones that I lean on when I need it the most. We’ve been on this crazy journey together from day one and they’ll always be there for me no matter what. They know my true self and always have my best interest in mind. I’m really grateful and lucky to have such a solid support system in them.

What advice would you give to other young women on confidence and maintaining a
positive outlook?

D: It’s not always easy to stay positive or confident, I wish I could say it’s easy for me. Just know that you aren’t alone and that not every day can be perfect, but that you should always look to the positives, even on bad days.

You really embrace technology as a tool for self-expression. How do you stay true to
yourself while sharing so much online?

D: I’ve learned to establish boundaries with technology. I think it’s really easy to fall into a habit of sharing and expressing everything but there comes a point where you learn that it’s okay to set boundaries. It’s definitely something that keeps me grounded.

What advice would you give to other female creators who are just getting started?
D: My biggest advice would be to tell other female creators that no one is you and that’s your biggest strength. It’s really easy to fall into the pattern of comparison as a creator (and a viewer for that matter) and I hope other women learn to embrace rather than conform.
