Once again, Bella Hadid has used her platform of almost 55 million followers on Instagram to shed light on political injustices happening around the world. Last Friday, 22 year old Iranian woman Mahsa Amini passed away after being severely beaten by the Iranian regime’s ‘morality police’ who had taken her to the ‘re-education’ centre to correct her on how she had been wearing her hijab.
Mahsa was transferred to the hospital a few hours after her arrest with symptoms similar to a concussion. According to her family, Mahsa was in a coma and declared brain dead. Peaceful protests across Iran have ensued since the news broke out, and now Palestinian-Dutch supermodel Bella Hadid has posted slides describing the incident to educate her following.
Look at Bella Hadid’s post for Mahsa Amini below…
“#mahsaamini Just wow … 💔Rest in peace #mahsaamini You did not deserve this . Sending blessings to her family and loved ones” Bella captioned. (https://iheartrving.com/)
This isn’t the first time that Bella has spoken out about Muslim matters despite her Hollywood celeb status. The Hadid sibling has posting previously for Palestine, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the hijab ban in February placed by countries like France, Quebec, and Belgium that were discriminatory.
