It’s no secret that the sister duo hailing from the UAE have been on everyone’s radar.
If you’re a motorsport fan, chances are you’ve heard of the Emirati sisters, Amna and Hamda Al Qusaibi, who both joined the all-female F1 Academy Championship.
Both icons had amazing track records in the motorsport. Hamda, became the first Emirati woman in the entire history of F4 to score a podium. She currently holds four wins and 10 podiums across her two seasons in the F1-promoted series.
Her sister Amna is no less an influential figure since she won the F4 Trophy round at Abu Dhabi, support series race to the 2019 F1 season finale, which made her the first Arab woman to step foot on the F1 podium.
Last year, Amna finished her two-year stint at the F1 Academy, as well as Hamda who graduated from the MP Motorsport to join the Red Bull Academy Programme to represent Red Bull Racing.
Now, after a few quiet months, the sisters are *officially* back with some amazing news. The duo is set to debut in the 2025 European Ligier Series with three-time team champions Group Virage.
Surely, fans are aware of the infamous Liger Series race car. This time, both sisters have transitioned from single-seaters to prototype racing, which in layman’s terms means they went from F1-styled cars to more high-tech endurance car racing. Together ofc!
The debut means the sisters will have a hand on the Ligier JS P4 prototype, which is the top class of the series Ligier European Series.
This marks their official steps to climbing the motorsport ladder. They will join Sacha Lehmann and Theo Micouris, two title winners, and others in the lineup.
ICYMI, Hamda is fully embracing her influencer side. Check out her Ramadan beauty hack here.
