Rachel McAdams is reportedly expecting her first child, E! News is confirming via multiple sources.
The Notebook and Mean Girls actress, 39, is currently romantically linked to Dear John writer Jamie Linden, 37. The two were first spotted in 2016, and since then, have been very low-profile. They have yet to make a red carpet appearance together.
McAdams’s last public appearance was in September at the Toronto International Film Festival. The actress, who is morely private, skipped a screening of her new film Game Night, starring Jason Bateman, Kyle Chandler, and Michael C. Hall, on Wednesday night. E! News could not reach McAdams’s rep for comment.
McAdams has spoken about being a mother before, but she said she wanted to wait to find the right partner. “Part of me is very attached to the idea of having children,” she told InStyle in 2010.“It’ll depend on if I find the person I want to do that with.”
She also told People in 2009: “Having a few [kids] would be great.”
“My mom is a great inspiration to me … She’s a nurse and very nurturing and gentle. She lets me be who I am. Hopefully I can take on those qualities and be as great as her.”
So, looks like our Rachel and Ryan Gosling dreams are well and truly over, then.
