If there is one thing that we’re used to from Kim Kardashian West, it’s her shock factor – whether that’s during a spat on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, with some of her more risqué selfies or wild fashion choices. We don’t usually hear her talking politics though, which is exactly what she did in this month’s Harper’s Bazaar Arabia

“Sometimes I feel like I want to speak out more about political issues,” she told Harper’s Bazaar Arabia‘s editor-in-chief, Louise Nichols. “You have to be really careful about what you say, because a lot of things can be taken in the wrong context and I always want to be respectful, I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings.”

But, that said, it didn’t stop Kim serving Donald Trump a little real talk when she was asked who sould be in the White House right now.

“Not the President now. Anyone can run the US better. My daughter would be better,” she quipped in reply. “We’ve worked so hard to get to where we were and to have so many things that we were so proud of in our country, to just literally revert backwards is the most frustrating thing. Every single day when you can’t really believe what’s going on, the next day it’s something else even more crazy and tragic… It’s really scary, the world that we’re living in now. And when you did feel safe at home, now with Trump in presidency you just don’t feel safe any more.”

But the interview is not all politics. Here are six other things the mother-of-two opened up to Harper’s Bazaar Arabia about:

1. Cher

Kim is channelling the music legend’s style in the shoot that accompanied the interview, so naturally she had a little something to say about her:

“She’s always had the sickest style, I’m obsessed with her… To think that she was wearing these sheer dresses in the ’70s and just what people must have thought back then.”

2. She’s *actually* pretty normal

It’s not all Met Galas and family TV shows with the Kardashian Wests, it seems:

“I think people would be really surprised at how normal our home life is… At the end of the night when the kids go to bed, and before my husband gets home from work, I just love to lay in bed in my robe and watch TV, like Dateline or Family Feud.”

3. But she does still love doing her sexiest shoots

While she talks about the fact that motherhood has made her a feel a lot more vulnerable and homely, she doesn’t want to quit the racy shoots that have become synonymous with her name:

“At the end of the day I still have to be me. If doing sexy shoots makes me feel confident, then I’m okay with it. That might not be appropriate for some people, and there’s a time and a place. There’s certain things I’ll show my kids and certain things I won’t show my kids. But generally I am okay with it. In moderation.”

4. She’s not sure about a feminist label

But she’s happy to talk about it:

“I said once before that I’m not really a feminist… But I feel I do a lot more than people that claim that they’re feminist,” she reveals. Adding, “To clarify what I said before: I feel in my soul I’m a feminist. I just don’t need labels to make me feel or know what I am inside.”

5. She’s in a group chat with Huda Kattan

Is this a chat we can get involved in?

According to Harper’s, she wants to bring the attitude of young women standing up for themselves on social media into the real world, as the magazine describes, “She’s plotting ways to bring this into real life, such as the group text chat she has going on with hair guru Jen Atkin and Dubai-based beauty entrepreneur Huda Kattan, where the three are discussing hosting ‘a girl boss cruise or a retreat to give advice to girls looking to start their own businesses.’”

6. She’s worried about her children going on social media

Although she’s built a pretty thick skin on social media, she is concerned about her two children, North, four, and Saint, one, going on social media in the future:

“I’m going to be so worried for the time my kids want to get on social media. It doesn’t seem like the safest place… I have a pretty thick skin. But I feel bad for anyone that gets hate on social media. There’s so much cyber-bullying and negativity in comments to everyone. I think it’s so wrong. No matter what you do, you’re so judged and criticised on social media. I hope it changes. I hope people stop being so negative. We can only go further if everyone uplifts each other and supports one another.”
