Vampire Diaries stars, Nina and Ian dated for three years until May 2013. While Ian is now married to Twilight star and Nina’s bestie, Nikki Reed, the three remain close, and recently posted a snap together on Instagram. Of their cute reunion dinner, Nina Dobrev said, “Can’t believe how time flies. Farewell dinner with team Somereed! So good catching up with these goofballs. All [love]”.
2. Bruce Willis and Demi Moore
The original friendly exes, Bruce Willis and Demi More are regularly snapped together on the red carpet, often with their three daughters and sometimes with their new partners.Their daughter, Dancing With The Stars star, Rumer Willis, 28, has described them as “superhero parents”. But Demi has opened up about the effect their divorce had on her, saying, “When their father and I decided to divorce, it probably had the biggest impact on her.”
3. Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin
Gwyn and Chris more or less redefined the amicable split, when they announced they were “consciously uncoupling” in March 2014. Since then, they have taken holidays together, with their kids, Apple, 12, and Moses, 10, been seen going out for dinner together and celebrate holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas as a family. “[This is] the relationship we were meant to have,” the Goop founder told Marie Claire shortly after they announced their split. And she has since added of her Coldplay singer ex, “I’m very, very lucky in that I have a partner who is willing to do it with me in a really collaborative way. Fortunately, even though we couldn’t stay in a romantic relationship, our values are very much around the importance of family and the importance of those relationships.”
4. Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet
Can’t Get You Off My Mind singer, Lenny Kravitz and Enemy Of The State star, Lisa Bonet were married from 1987 to 1993, and have a daughter, Zoë Kravitz together. The pair is often seen together on the red carpet, usually supporting Zoe. “[They] have so much love for each other,” Zoe has said of her close but separated parents in the past. Lisa is now married to Game of Thrones star, Jason Momoa and has two kids, and Zoe has also revealed that her father and stepfather “get along really well.”
5. Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki
Another set of co-stars who have remained close since splitting, Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki dated secretly for almost two years while filming The Big Bang Theory, however, they separated in 2010. On screen their characters are now married, but off-screen, they’re very much apart. “So sorry to disappoint, but no home wreckers or secret flings going on here. Me and [Johnny] are just the best of buds,” Kaley clarified in a 2015 Instagram post. “[Our characters] Leonard and Penny will just have to suffice!”
6. Kate Beckinsale and Michael Sheen
British actors, Kate and Michael, were together from 1995 until 2003, and have daughter Lily, 17, together. Now, 14 years on, Passengers star Michael is with American comedian, Sarah Silverman, who Kate ‘absolutely loves’. “We split up ages ago. We have been not together far longer than we were ever together. But I really love him and like him and we make each other roar with laughter,” 43-year-old Kate, said of her ex. “I really love [Sheen’s] girlfriend [Silverman] as well and we are lucky we both get on, and Lily gets on great with her… Having as many strong females in your teenage daughter’s life as possible is a good thing.”
7. Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter
Michael and Jennifer starred in Dexter together as siblings, Dexter and Debra. However, off-screen they were married from 2008 until 2011. Despite seperating, they remained close and shortly after their divorce was finalised they were seen out together in Los Angeles. “He is and always will be one of my best friends in the world. And just because the marriage ended doesn’t mean the love isn’t still there,” revealed Jennifer, who is now married to folk singer, Seth Avett.

8. Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas
Back in 2010, former Disney stars, Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas, briefly dated. Despite a few public run-ins, the pair remain close and often work together, and Demi regularly collaborates with Joe’s younger brother, Nick. “We’re always going to be friends,” Demi has said of her ex. While he added, “Demi and I are good friends and we have been friends for years.”
