Huda Kattan: ‘I Find Paid Post Claims Offensive’

Earlier this week, Instagram scheduler Hopper HQ released its first ever Instagram Rich List, rating the potential earnings of a list of celebrities and influencers. While Selena Gomez – the most followed person on Instagram – topped the celebs’ list, it was Dubai’s own Huda Kattan, or Huda Beauty, who was named the top earner in the influencer category. The website estimated that she could earn up to Dhs66,000 – key word, ‘could’. 

Since the list was publicised, Huda has spoken out about the list, denying accepting paid posts and she even claims to be ‘offended’ by the claims, adding that it ‘attacks’ her credibility. 

She goes on to add, “I refused a post last week for $150,000 (Dhs551,000) for Instagram… It was actually so hard for me to refuse it, because I love the product, it was amazing”. 

Moral of the story? Huda doesn’t accept sponsored posts, but if she changed her mind, Hopper HQ thinks she could earn Dhs66,000 a pop.
