The Global Gift Gala will be returning to Dubai in December for its seventh consecutive year. The star-studded event, founded by entrepreneur and activist Maria Bravo, will be held at the Waldorf Astoria, Dubai Palm Jumeirah on December 17. Maria Bravo will lead the event alongside Hollywood actress Eva Longoria Baston and beauty mogul Huda Kattan, who will both be attending as co-chairs.
The honorary awardees are Mona Kattan, who will be receiving the Global Gift Women Empowerment Award for her outstanding work to empower other women during her career, and television presenter Rosemin Madhavji, who will receive the Global Gift We Believe In People Award for constantly supporting the Global Gift foundation. Talk about girl power!
Funds raised from the gala will be distributed through three charities; local charity Dubai Cares, Harmony House – who offer education, nutrition, medical facilities and social welfare to children in Delhi – and The Eva Longoria Foundation, which empowers Latina women. The fundraiser aims to give children worldwide access to primary and secondary education and is focused on gender equality and safe learning environments for all.
The night isn’t restricted to fund-raising alone, though. The legendary pop group Gypsy Kings will be performing, as well as Carmen Soliman, Sabrina Romero and Subkhir Singh. There will also be other entertainment throughout the night, including auctions featuring art from world-renowned artists.Â
