Attention all you Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik shippers out there who’ve been lurking in shadows, patiently waiting for your day to come: please rise. Word on the street is that Gigi and Zayn have been in touch in the wake of Gigi’s split from Bachelorette alum Tyler Cameron.

A source says that Gigi “has always had a soft spot for Zayn and they have a lot of history together.” The source continues that these two “went through a phase where they took time apart and weren’t communicating at all, but they have been in touch recently. She is supportive of him. They chat here and there but it’s been casual.”

In other words, they aren’t back together yet, but the groundwork is being laid. See?

In case you need a refresher on the true rollercoaster that is Gigi and Zayn’s relationship, they first started dating in 2015, had some ups and downs, and officially broke up in March 2018. At the time, they both issued incredibly intense Twitter statements, and Gigi wrote that she was “forever grateful for the love, time, and life lessons that Z and I shared.”

BUT THEN, the pair seemingly reunited only to break up again this past January. Also, at one point during this whole saga, Zayn literally got Gigi’s eyes tattooed across his chest. Casual!
