Supermodel Naomi Campbell, debuted her Fashion For Relief collection, during London Fashion Week. The show was fantastic *DUH!* and many high-profile celebs walked the runway.Â
For those that are unaware, Fashion For Relief is a charity set up in 2005 by Naomi Campbell. Inspired by the advice of Nelson Mandela, Campbell decided to merge the two things she’s passionate about, fashion and humanatarian causes.
Her charity has successfully raised money to fight against Ebola and provide aid to victims of natural disasters. Lately, Fashion For Relief has been working to provide food, shelter and medical treatment to children around the world, especially those who have been affected by the conflict in Syria.
We have to STAN!
The charity accepts donations through the website but it mostly raises money through fashion shows. Naomi Campbell uses her contacts to invite high-profile celebs like models, actresses or musicians to walk the runway or attend as a guest. Obviously, guests have to purchase a ticket and there’s a gala auction held to raise money.
This year, there was a fabulous fashion show, a fancy dinner, a gala auction, a musical performance AND an after-party.Â
Whew!
With so much going on, we have compiled a list of our fave moments.
1. The Fashion For Relief spring/summer20 Collection
This ready-to-wear collection featured a little bit of everything. There were colourful fabrics, unique patterns, feathers and fur, elegant silk dresses, spikes and embroidery, ruffles, puffer coats, tulle and bold metallic dresses. So much was happening and we loved it!
