Hot on the heels of NYFW, LFW brought its own brand of oomph. Our fave supermodels like Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Irina Shayk, Grace Elizabeth and Bella Hadid walked the runway to debut the spring/summer 2020 collection of high-street fashion designers.Â
There were a lot of awesome looks to pick from but we’ve rounded up some of our absolute fave out-of-the-box faves:
Burberry SS20 collection
Ricardo Tisci’s collection was drool-worthy. Silk, motifs and luscious feminine oomph with a structured tailored edge. Love.
Richard Quinn SS20 Collection
Fit for an Elizabethan monarch, the king of florals and latex brought some serious magic to the runway. Nipped in waists, padded rears and plenty of feathers, glitter and pomp made this collection one that’s near impossible to triumph.Â
Christopher Kane SS20 Collection
Earth, science and nature are recurring themes in Kane’s work. And these eco-sensual beauts were inspired style at its best.
Richard Malone SS20 Collection
Sustainably sourced satin and silk with an athletic-meets-haute-couture silhouette, Malone takes the environment seriously. With not a hint of synthetic fabric, Malone won us over with his gorgeously fashioned pieces made out of recycled materials, including nylon. A man who makes fashion clean? Yes, please.
Huishan Zhang SS20 Collection
Feminine glam with glitter, feathers, and fresh-faced white, Zhang softened decadence and stayed true to his signature romantic style.Â
Julien Macdonald SS20 Collection
Made for “real women” Mcdonald’s collection was the sensual, slinky and barely-there perfection we’ve all come to know and love.Â
Erdem SS20 Collection
Big hats, bonnets and cotton with their signature bold floral prints, Erdem takes a leap in another direction and we like it!
Roksanda Ilincic SS20 Collection
Geometric compositions inspired by her architectural background, in gold and fuchia, with silk and gabardine fabrics = perfection.
Simone Rocha SS20 Collection
Inspired by folk music and Celtic tradition, the bubble dresses and chintz were an ode to ancient Ireland and signature Simone Rocha.
Emilia Wickstead SS20 Collection
The epitome of modern femininity, we loved this bold and startling venture into the unknown.
Stories From Arabia SS20 Collection
Genius designs from the Arab world’s ace designers created pure visual decadence on the runway. From Najwa Al-Fadhli’s Great Gatsby-esque gowns to Omani Designer Rayan Al-Sulaimani’s jewel toned sumptuous gowns, the collection was just breathtaking.
David Koma SS20 Collection
Imbued with a sense of movement and inspired by Pedro Almodavar, Koma’s collection was all about lengthening the leg. Now, who doesn’t love that?
Halpern Studio SS20 Collection
Studio 54 has long been a fave go-to for the designer. Gaudy fabrics, glitz and glam with metallic headpieces brought the era’s fashion to life.
Mark Fast SS20 Collection
The generic jungle theme populated with Amazonian bright hues, were standout fabulous.
Bora Aksu SS20 Collection
A homage to the fierce and fabulous Persian princess’ journey towards activism, Aksu’s collection reflects contrasts. Bright colours and tulle represent her freewheeling and vocal persona, while masculine tailoring and brocade showcase her repression.
Need some of this magic in my closet NOW!
