In case you hadn’t noticed, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello are dating. Despite plenty of people thinking they’re in a fake PR relationship, these two have made it all kinds of clear they’re obsessed with each other, but still haven’t verbally confirmed they’re in a relationship.
And apparently there’s a reason why Shawn’s keeping quiet about his relationship status. This dude just sat down for a Q&A session with fans, and was asked “You’ve said you’ve never been in love. Has that changed recently?”

His response? To get super candid and say “Honestly, I wanna say I wanna talk to you guys about this stuff but it’s not just me in the relationship! There’s another person involved. I can’t say things that I feel… It’s not just me deciding you know?”
In other words, he’s not going to talk about his feelings for Camila when she’s not there—which makes total sense. Would you want your boyfriend/girlfriend chatting about you to total strangers while the entire conversation was recorded? Probs not.
