If you’ve been anywhere near Twitter over the past few days, you’ll have noticed that things have got a bit heated between controversial Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan and Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling.
Well, we say they got heated; more like J.K Rowling absolutely smashed Piers to pieces with some killer tweets. But now Piers’ son, Spencer Morgan, has entered the boxing ring and brilliantly, he’s on Rowling’s side.
It all started when JK got mischievous on Valentine’s Day and posted an excerpt of a highly complimentary article in which she was featured as one of the top 100 British Celebrities who really matter.
Just been sent this! Could the writer let me know who he is? I'd love to thank him! #Valentines pic.twitter.com/OQtbxPD6AL

Piers, walking right into the sassy author’s trap, replied to her tweet, calling it a “priceless humble brag”.
Priceless #humblebrag BS. Nobody plays the celebrity game more abusively or ruthlessly than you, Ms 'Intensely Private Billionaire'. https://t.co/5ysnfefa3d

The problem was, Piers wrote the excerpt. So he’s certainly changed his tune since J.K. publicly vocalised her dislike for him.
Everyone was enjoying the activity over on Twitter, but nobody more so than Spencer Morgan, Piers’ very own son, who decided it was his turn to have a say in the matter. And he did so in the most brilliant way, posting a picture of his Harry Potter tattoo with the caption “well this is awkward”. Incredible.

And a quick look through Spencer’s Instagram profile will reveal that he’s a Harry Potter mega-fan. So at least one person in the Morgan family has some sense about them.
Here he is going to see The Cursed Child in London’s West End last year:
Oh, and here he is declaring his love for J.K. Rowling permanently by getting his Deathly Hallows tattoo:
And here he is with the only reading material he needed last summer, a book by J.K. herself:
Piers had no choice to respond to the awkward revelation, posting to Twitter:
Sadly, he's a Potter fanatic. My biggest failure in 23 years of parenting. Fortunately, he's as fanatical about Arsenal so I forgive him. https://t.co/l5nnPwZ0Kc

Bet that was an awkward family meal round the table when it all kicked off between Piers and J.K. Rowling over Twitter last week.
