Since becoming an official member of the Royal Family after marrying Prince Harry last month, Meghan Markle has already attended two Royal engagements. But come October it’s all going up a gear.
This morning, Kensington Palace announced the itinerary for the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s first Royal Tour together, and it sounds like the dream gap year.

Meghan and Harry will be making an official visit to Australia, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga, and New Zealand – so basically four of the countries most commonly featured in bucket lists. Not bad, not bad at all.
While an exact date for the tour is yet to be announced, we do know the newlyweds will head off in October, to coincide with The Invictus Games which will take place in Sydney between 20-27 October 2018.
Last year, The Invictus Games was held in Toronto in September, and it marked the first time Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were officially photographed together. The pair were seen holding hands and looking generally loved up as they attended the wheelchair tennis together.
Later, Prince Harry was photographed with both Meghan and her mother, Doria Ragland, at the closing ceremony of the Games.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Royal Tour to Australia isn’t the only one in recent years; Kate and William visited Australia and New Zealand when Prince George was just a baby back in April 2014.
Although we don’t know how long Meghan and Harry’s tour of the Oceania countries will last, it will likely span at least two or even three weeks if they plan to get round all four countries. I mean, it’s not the worst way I could imagine spending October and November.
Oh, to be a Royal…
