Meghan Markle made a surprise visit to Robert Clark School in Dagenham, England, and it was quite a memorable for one “brave young man”.

The Duchess of Sussex spoke to 700 high school students about gender equality and the importance of empowering women. As she addressed the students, Meghan stopped and requested that a “brave young man come and say what he thinks the importance of International Women’s Day is”

Aker Okoye – the school head-boy – got up to address  his classmates, but before he started, he couldn’t help but gush over Meghan’s beauty. He said, “she really is beautiful, innit?”

After which he went on to explain that IWD isn’t only for women, but also for the men who need to play a role in achieving equality.

To conclude her speech, Meghan said, “No matter how small you might feel, no matter how low you may feel on the ladder or the totem pole, no matter what colour you are, no matter what gender you are – you have a voice and you certainly have the right to speak up for what is right.

This was one of her final engagements before stepping down as a senior member of the royal family.Â
