Let’s face it, the economy in 2025 is not getting any cheaper, and neither is Dubai. How do we move our careers forward, and how do we earn more?

Pink-collar jobs are traditionally performed by women. Rather than quitting a career that is unfulfilling or under-earning, women are working in these flexible fields, which can be high-earning in the Emirates.

Why do women do them?

Let’s face it, women are better at some things! When it comes to nurturing energy, women often excel. That’s what makes pink-collar jobs satisfying to the girls! They also offer flexibility, and some require little to no education, making them the perfect arena for women. In the past, these roles included teachers, nurses, medical assistants, secretaries, or florists, but now have expanded (see the list below.)

1. Marketing Specialist

Content creation, design, SEO analytics, advertising, and copywriting are in high demand, and create competitive job skills which are necessary in companies and agencies. Free courses on LinkedIn are available to qualify you for various positions in the field of marketing, deeming a formal education negotiable for this pink-collar job.

2. Model & social media influencer

Another booming field in marketing is the influencer space! Of course, we all see influencers online, but how do you practically make money? In UGC or user-generated content- you market products to your following. You can work on UGC platforms and reach out to companies directly. Affiliate marketing is another option. The only requirement is an honest character whom followers trust.

3. Flight Attendant

This pink-collar job is booming in the Emirates, with many companies constantly hiring. Many tips on major airlines’ hiring processes, interview rounds, and requirements are available on TikTok and Instagram. Women like this job because it does not require a degree, allowing easy workforce entrance. However, it’s not an option for mid to full-term pregnant women, and rigid schedules are demanded. So this is not a good option with a baby, or young children.

Many people come to the Emirates for the glamorous life. Private aviation is one of the industries powering this exclusive lifestyle. The same is true for private yacht chartering, as everyone and their mother loves a luxurious yacht trip in Dubai. If you love providing high-end service to luxury clients, this career may be for you. Many international chartering companies with endless clients are based in Dubai, creating broad job selection and a large networking industry.

Calling all Pinterest girlies… your dream side hustle (or full-time job) has arrived. Yes, you can be a virtual assistant for Pinterest, or just a virtual assistant in general. Videos on TikTok and Instagram describe how to set up a VA business and reach your niche client. As the workforce continues to diversify remote positions, the need for VA’s rises. Start with a free how-to course to gauge interest, then invest in an in-depth course if you are ready to launch your business.

6. Event Planner

You can be sure that there is no shortage of events in the Emirates. And guess what? These events don’t run themselves. Event planners, event designers, and event coordinators are the elite squad powering this industry, and you can be sure this pink-collar job is in high demand. An abundance of tips, tricks, classes, and resources is available to learn about this profession online. But some sage advice? Volunteer at some events for free to see if throwing events truly is your forte.

The nurturing touch required in this role is what lands it as a pink-collar favourite. Take note: you must obtain a legal degree to practice as an aesthetician. After completing the licensing process in the Emirates, you can begin business (i.e. doing facials). Plus, if you launch a private business, ultimate flexibility is yours. (Anyone interested in a workday filled with giving facials and naps in between?)

8. Interior Designer

There are many TikTok Queens who have transitioned into interior design with no previous experience. Yes, you heard that correctly; zero uni degree! According to TikTok, everything you need to learn can be found online. And the key points? Learn 3D Sketch Up, Procreate on iPad for collages, and experiment on your own home, to get an understanding of style and design. From there, network with family and friends for your first clients… You got this!

Emaar, Damac, Nakeel, & Sobha are just a few of the massive property development and real estate companies that reign in the Emirates. It’s not a secret that this industry is booming in the Emirates, but what’s the truth about success in real estate? First of all, there is no salary. The job is commission-based, so you may not see money right away. The real-estate market is saturated, so you need to stand out. If you love serving clients in finding their dream home, the extra hours and hard work will be worth it; and pay a pretty penny.

10. Travel Agent

Being a travel agent is a mix of highs and lows; traveling for work and not leisure, late-night calls from clients asking you for details on their itineraries, and unexpected surprises. Overall, it’s an unforgettable job because you get to see the world. If you don’t want to be on call 24/7, this pink-collar job is not for you. But if you’re devoted to serving others in their travel dreams… it just may do it for you.
