As someone with oily skin and a nose that often swerves into the blackhead territory, I not only wanted a solution but at this point needed one (and asap). I was looking for something that would vacuum my pores and leave my skin feeling blackhead-free.

I remember scrolling through Instagram and seeing girls wearing a blueish-charcoal face mask and noticing little black dots all over their noses (and at that very moment, the curiosity kicked in). What was this magical mask, how does it work, and why there were so many dots on their noses? The answer was on word – G L A M G L O W. A brand founded by a husband and wife who wanted to create a line solely focused on backstage use at the largest Hollywood projects, and you can’t image the number of A-listers who used this formula.

So, of course, I had to give it a try. I applied the mask on my t-zone and a little bit on my cheeks. I spread it evenly and as quick as possible because I noticed the mask sets super-fast. The mask starts off as a dark charcoal colour and slowly lightens to a soft blue as it soaks into your skin, you’ll notice small dots appear. Wherever your skin has built-up oil and dirt, the mask will draw it out and pinpoint the exact area for you to see – it’s slightly disgusting but at the same time very intriguing. The packaging says you can leave it on up to 20 minutes, but you can bet I left it for the full 20.

After a couple of minutes, you’ll start to feel a tingly sensation and that your skin is tightening up (you’ll also feel a slight struggle to smile) but have no fear, that’s a good sign – it means the mask is actually working. Twenty minutes later comes the tedious part – washing it off. I highly recommend soaking a towel in warm water and laying it on your face for a second and then slowly wiping the last bit of clay off your face – it makes the removal process run smoothly. 

But honestly, nothing feels better than clear skin and seeing actual results. The mask felt like it detoxed my skin and soul. Did I also mention that it has six exfoliants included inside the formula – you can officially deep cleanse your skin for days.
