Microneedling is not something new to me. I’ve reaped its skin-rejuvenating benefits before and let’s just say I’m a big fan. However, I recently had the microneedling with stem cells treatment at The Nova Clinic (Anteage stems cells, to be exact) and it upgraded my skin game in exponential ways. Think of it as going on a holiday (Eid-style) and traveling economy class, it gets to your chosen destination. However, when you get bumped up to business? Next level, bb. I liken this new relationship to that golden ticket welcoming my skin to the finer things in life.
First things first, wth is microneedling?
I chatted with Doctor Jaffer Khan from The Nova Clinic to find out what exactly microneedling with stem cells does for the skin. “Skin needling is a minimally invasive treatment that can be used all over the body to improve the appearance of acne scars, stretch marks, fine lines, and wrinkles. It also boosts collagen, evens out skin tone, and treats enlarged pores.”

The entire process was completely painless thanks to the numbing cream applied beforehand.
“When combined with Anteage stem cells, which contain the highest concentration of growth factors along with 22 additional ingredients, it can provide pro-healing, anti-aging, and anti-inflammatory benefits.” Sounds pretty good to me.

Microneedling also teaches you to let go of control, surrender, and trust the process. This is me doing just that.
The results
Right after the treatment, my skin was red. Super red. It felt tight like I had a sunburn. But worry not, this is totally normal. At night, I put a tiny bit of cream on my skin, used a fresh pillowcase, and caught some zzz’s.

Side note: Peep my new hair growth flying in the breeze. Check out my secret here.
Within the next four days, my skin completely healed and it was g-l-o-w-i-n-g. It looked so incredibly bright, plumped, and hydrated.

No makeup, no filter, no edits. Why? Not needed.
After this experience, I have two more appointments booked, each one six weeks apart. If you have any open sores, active acne, or infections on your skin, make sure you address that first in order to be a candidate for microneedling with stem cells. I legit love this skincare treatment and recommend it 100 percent to anyone looking to improve their skin texture and tone.
