Yes people, the Dyson Corrale Straightener is here - and naturally, it's packed with some serious tech. Firstly, it has flexible plates, yes FLEXIBLE. They mould to the hair being styled, which gives the user 'greater control' according to Dyson. It also means that because they 'adapt to the hair, they apply tension more evenly, and stop strands splaying, reducing frizz and flyaways.' Clever, huh?
As well as being a dream to work with, Dyson claim that the Corrale causes less damage to your locks than a regular hair straightener. 'The greater control given by the flexible plates allows styles to be created with less reliance on heat, therefore reducing damage by 50%.'
And the fun doesn't stop there, the straighteners have a number of other cool features, including intelligent heat control for ensuring precise temperatures and a magnetic detachable cord (think, laptop charger style), allowing you to unplug or plug in whenever you want. GENIUS.
Of course, all this tech comes at a cost, £399 to be exact (approx Dhs1,870), making these straighteners a pretty steep investment.
So does it live up to the hype? We put the new Dyson Corrale to the test in our Beauty Lab YouTube series - which, if you're new to these parts, is where we test all sorts of weird and wonderful beauty products on camera.
Click here to watch three Cosmo Editors (with three different hair types), try the straighteners out for the first time - and find out whether they are really worth that price tag.
The product is set to arrive in the UAE market by May.
