We could all use some magic in our lives right about now, ya know what I mean?
With the prospect of a long *indoors* summer ahead, I’m giving up on my plans of bikini brunches at Nikki Beach and, instead, amping up my skincare (and TikTok) game.
Charlotte Tilbury recently debuted her Magic Serum Crystal Elixir. The packaging of this rose-gold bottle of magic potion sparkles with phrases such as reduce wrinkles, firmer skin, tighter pores and lifted facial contours.
The Key Ingredients:
Naturally, I started analyzing the ingredients list. I saw line-reducing copper, collagen-producing peptides, and more anti-ageing antioxidants than patrols in Dubai. Not to mention hydrating sodium hyaluronate, skin-calming aloe and all-around superstar niacinamide (think skin-smoothing, pore-tightening, and oil-regulating goodness). I’m impressed.
Time to put this magic elixir to the test. I chose to use this product exclusively at night since it contains Rosa Canina Fruit Extract, which is natural retinol. To get the maximum skin-penetrating benefits, I rubbed a few drops of the serum into my hands, and then pressed the product gently into my skin. There is a *slight* fragrance, however, it did not irritate my skin. After using this product for one week, my skin DID seem a bit tighter, brighter, and smoother! Hmm, I can only wonder, if I saw these results in a week, what will my skin look like two months from now? Remember, consistency is key!
By the time the world opens back up, I’ll be back at the beach with younger-looking skin all thanks to Charlotte! You deff have my heart (and bank account)
Tip: Store the serum in a dark place to protect the skin-brightening vitamin C ingredient. Your bathroom cabinet or a makeup bag will do.
