We know and love Carolina Herrera for its classic clothes and penchant for a crisp white shirt, but it looks like we can expect even more exciting things to come from the New York-based fashion brand: they’ve just launched a line of make-up!

The fully customizable line of ready-to-wear products (yes, we promise we’re still talking about beauty), blurs the line between make-up and jewellery.

“Traditionally, makeup is something that you keep out of sight whether on your bathroom shelf or in your vanity pouch,” explains Carolina A. Herrera, creative director of Carolina Herrera Beauty. “But it’s such a personal form of expression, why shouldn’t you wear it? Literally! We wanted to give women an opportunity to wear their make-up like a piece of fabulous jewellery.”

The collection boasts 36 shades (16 matte, 12 satin and eight sheer) of lipsticks in pinks, berries, reds, corals, browns and nudes.

“From the start of our collaboration, the main focus was to create a make-up line of modern, fresh textures and colours that would suit everyone,” says Lauren Parsons, Carolina Herrera Global Make-up Consultant

We can also expect a range of compact powders, including eight shades of enhancing and setting powders, one highlighter and one mattifier.
