We love a surprise make-up launch and that’s exactly what Tarte has just done with their new Babassu Foundcealer. The latest release claims to be “your total complexion solution”, doing the job of a foundation and concealer in one (but you already guessed that, right?).

The vegan make-up and skincare hybrid focuses on providing medium coverage whilst simultaneously nurturing and hydrating the skin. Doubly great we think you’ll agree.

Unlike their Shape Tape Foundation, which offers a long wearing, full coverage. The Babassu Foundcealer claims to deliver a completely customisable coverage with a “natural radiant finish”. Perfect for those after the no-make-up make-up look.

Alongside all of Tarte’s staple skin-loving benefits (no parabens, sulphate, gluten etc) the Foundcealer, is formulated with the superbalm Babassu.

Straight from the Amazon rainforest, Babassu’s properties are similar to that of coconut oil, so you can expect super soothed and super moisturised skin all day, every day. That’s some real plant powered skin lovin’.

Even better, Foundcealer is available in 30 shades, and fights against early signs of ageing. AKA those fine lines and wrinkles caused by laughing at old The X Factor auditions. Just me?

Many of you will remember the backlash which ensued early last year after the release of Tarte’s Double Duty Shape Tape Foundation.

After amassing a cult following with the success of their Shape Tape concealer, the long-awaited foundation line was poorly received. Disappointed fans took to social media to highlight the lack of diversity in the meagre 15 shade range.

Having since learnt from their mistakes, Tarte’s Shape Tape Foundation now boasts a whopping 50 shades with 5 undertones. Consider yourself redeemed Tarte.

Now we just have to wait patiently for all the launch details.
