According to Refinery29, the sparkly beauty trend has been getting some major traction lately thanks to Nine Zero One Salon stylist Nikki Lee, who demonstrated how to create a rainbow glitter fishtail braid for Beauty Coach TV earlier this week. But based on a quick scroll through Instagram, it’s safe to say this trend has been a long time coming.
All you need to achieve the look is some Major Moonshine Glitter Gel, created by world-renowned Ramirez Tran Salon colourist Daniel Moon, and you’ll be ready to sparkle your way into the new year. You’re also welcome to try the trend with good old-fashioned craft glitter, but you can probably guess how that will turn out.
