If there’s one person who owns the short hair ‘do, it’s Lucy Hale. Girl has been rocking the cropped length for years now, providing a world of top-notch lob inspiration with every hair transformation she has undergone.
But it seems shoulder-skimming lengths were getting a little too tired for Luce, chopping her hair into a blunt ’90s bob just days ago (ICYMI, the bob is wayyy in this year).
Hairstylist Kristen Ess, who’s also responsible for beautifying the heads of Lauren Conrad and Jenna Dewan, was behind the bold chop. After getting rid of her length, Ess gave Lucy’s new style an extra something something, adding a deep side-part and long, sweeping bangs for ultimate throwback vibes.
But if you feel like you may have already seen Lucy wearing this style, then you’re bang on the money! She opted for an equally dramatic chop in early 2017, which was also courtesy of Ess.
The celebrity stylist was also behind the actress’ gorgeous deep pink locks she debuted earlier this year.
While we hope Hale holds on to this cut for a little while, her tendency to frequently switch up her look tells us that it mightn’t be around for as long as we’d hope.
Just this year, the actress has experimented with light balayage, honey-toned strands, blunt lobs, beach-waved tresses, as well as her brief flirtation with a raspberry pink rinse.
Lucy, this one’s a definite keeper.
