It’s no secret that we are obsessed with all things highlighter based. If you can go about your day-to-day life looking like a shimmering mermaid why the hell wouldn’t you? That’s our opinion anyway.

So imagine our joy when we were scrolling through our Instagram feed and saw these bad boys…

Yes, MAC have just released brand new Extra Dimension Skin Finishes in three sparkly duo-chrome shades. There’s Show Gold, ‘a peach that breaks pink’, Double Gleam ‘a beige that breaks silver’, Beaming Blush ‘a pink that breaks gold’ and Soft Frost ‘a white that breaks violet’.

As well as strobe powders, the collection will also include brand new shades of MAC’s cult Strobe Cream.

Brand new Strobe Creams too?! We can’t cope either.

Yup, there are now four NEW Strobe Creams along with the existing original formula (which will now be called Pinklite, thanks to it’s pinky-pearl finish). Alongside it, will be Peachlite, Silverlite, Redlite and Goldlite.

We got our hands on the Extra Dimension Skin Finish in Beaming Blush and the Strobe Cream in Goldlite, so decided to give them a go in the Cosmo Beauty Lab. Here’s what these glow givers look like IRL…

“This is a highlighter and a half. The frosty powder gives cheeks a shimmer but the lack of chunky glitter flecks keeps it looking cool as opposed to try-hard. The duo-chrome effect means that in natural light my skin had a champagne glow, but under a spotlight it had a rose-gold finish.” Victoria Jowett, Digital Beauty Editor.

“As a long-time lover of MAC’s infamous Strobe Creams I was eager to give this gold version a go. It’s much subtler than the highlighting powder, giving skin a dewy sheen as opposed to a beamy highlight. The gold tone is flattering and easy to wear, I’d be tempted to blend this in with my body lotion for an all-over glow.” Victoria Jowett, Digital Beauty Editor.

Both are part of the new ‘In The Spotlight’ Collection, which has just landed in stores and online at Maccosmetics.co.uk.

So, erm, what are you waiting for people? Go, go, go…
