Gigi Hadid and her on-off boyfriend, Zayn Malik, welcomed their baby girl, Khai, last year September. And whilst we’ve waiting for the tea on the model’s birth story, we’re glad she opened up about her birthing experience in a new interview with Vogue.

Uusally Gigi keeps her family life extremely private, but she decided to speak candidly about her birth story and we’re glad she did. The new mum opted for a natural home birth as opposed to giving birth in the hospital because of the ongoing pandemic.

Gigi revealed that at some point, she briefly considered an epidural as she had second thoughts on a natural birth, but her midwife told her that she was “past the point of the epidural anyway”. Gigi had a natural birth, in the cover story, she said, “I knew it was going to be the craziest pain in my life, but you have to surrender to it and be like ‘This is what it is’ – I loved that.”

Gigi revealed that her mum, Yolanda and sister, Bella were present at the birth, “I know my mom and Zayn and Bella were proud of me, but at certain points I saw each of them in terror. Afterward, Z and I looked at each other and were like, We can have some time before we do that again.”
