Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, has been named the Humanitarian of the Year 2020 at the Arab Woman Awards. The royal was honoured for her leadership of the ‘10 Million Meals’ campaign, which operated throughout Ramadan, and exceeded its own target by providing 15.3 million meals and food parcels to low-income families and those hardest hit by the outbreak.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum took to social media to congratulate Sheikha Hind on the accolade.

Sheikha Hind, who is the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of UAE Food Bank, will be presented with her award at Mall of the Emirates during World of Fashion presented by Harper’s Bazaar Arabia.
Arab Woman Awards were launched in 2009 by ITP Media Group in Dubai, with the aim of celebrating the significant achievements by women of the GCC region and to provide young Arab women with inspirational role models. During the past decade the awards ceremony has highlighted the achievements of over 400 women and has conducted ceremonies across the Gulf region including in the UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
