Do you remember what you were doing at 16? Because I don’t, and it definitely wasn’t making *millions* like our well-known TikTok star, Charli D’Amelio.

If you haven’t heard of Charli D’Amelio, then you deffo haven’t downloaded TikTok (which we suggest you do,) because she’s become a household name in no time. Joining the app back in 2019, Charli started out as a regular girl posting her TikTok dances and phenomenal choreography daily. Little did she know she’d go viral the way that she had.

She went from less than a million followers in August 2019, to 50 million followers in April 2020, and doubled that just seven months later to cross the big 100. Now she’s at 128.2 million followers this month.

Talk about impressive.

Not only is Charli known for her killer dance moves and virality, but she’s also an ex-member of the TikTok Hype House, as well as the ex of a fellow famous TikToker, Chase Hudson (also known as Lil’ Huddy). It was a preeeeetty messy breakup, fyi. But along with the whole internet, we’re not convinced that these two have called it quits for good as they still seem pretty…friendly.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Charli charges $100,000 (minimum!!) for sponsored posts on TikTok. AKA: 367,300 Dirhams. Woah.

@charlidamelio Join the #MoreHappyDenimDance and #hcocontest to win a virtual meet & greet with me and Dixie!! #hcopartner ♬ More Happy – The Hollister Jean Lab

She has worked with some pretty huge household names including Procter & Gamble, Just Mobile, Hollister, and Step, and more recently Louis Vuitton, Takis, and Invisalign. Not to mention she created two custom drinks with her fav coffee company, Dunkin Donuts, ‘The Charli’ and ‘The Charli Cold Foam’ (not one but two self-named drinks is pretty iconic).

Alongside her sister Dixie, the D’Amelio duo has also ventured away from social media together and into the TV, beauty, and fashion industries. Since their joint rise to stardom in 2020, they have created a whole new sub-brand with beauty Giant Morphe called Morphe 2, as well as launching five collections for their apparel brand with Hollister Co. called “Social Tourist”. They have also released a podcast together, a Hulu documentary, a Snapchat reality series, and even featured on an animated show.

She also earns money through ad revenue on YouTube, (yes she is dominating other platforms as well). Let’s not forget her iconic ‘Milan Fashion Week’ video which included a Prada haul (FYI, she sat front row at its runway show), and her most recent video ‘A Day In Paris With My Stylist’ which, well, I think the title speaks for itself. Casual.

We’re convinced she doesn’t have the same 24 hours in a day that we all do.

So, at the sweet age of 17, Charli has been making money on TikTok, Instagram, Youtube, and as a TV star and boss businesswoman. How much is her net worth you may ask? $12 million (Dhs44 million.) And that’s just how much she was able to make in two years. Have we mentioned how impressed we are yet?

If only we had learned those TikTok dances early on.
