The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be celebrating its National Day on September 23 and, the UAE has a number of big plans to commemorate the joyous occasion.Â

1. Celebratory Concert at City Walk

Experience authentic Emirati music on Saturday September 22, with performances from Saudi singer Dalia Mubarak and Emirati artist Shamma Hamdan. With Dalia Mubarak and Shamma Hamdan both being former contestants on the Middle Eastern singing reality show, ‘Arabs Got Talent’, we expect these regional superstars to blow us away with their outstanding voices. Hamdan with her reputation of blending pop, rock and flamenco elements in her music and Mubarak talented in singing both Arabic and English tunes, this promises to be a concert you just can’t afford to miss. It’s free too so, you really don’t have excuse not to be there.Â

2. Complimentary meals at B’dou Café for Saudi women drivers

To celebrate both the Kingdom’s National Day and the lift of the female driving ban, B’dou Café is treating all Saudi female drivers to a complimentary meal. The offer starts on Friday, September 21 and will end on Sunday, September 23. There’s more. Everyone who dines at the venue during these dates will receive 20 percent off on their total bill. Nice.Â

3. Special celebratory shows at the Burj Khalifa

If you’re visiting Burj Khalifa from September 20-23, you’ll witness the Saudi national flag feature on the building’s iconic LED screen. The Dubai Fountain will also come to life with specially choreographed displays for the Saudi National Day. The shows will be held at 8.10pm, 9.10pm and 10.10pm, in addition to the regular displays that we all know and love. Residents of Saudi Arabia can also enjoy a host of offers to play, stay and shop at Downtown Dubai.

4. Fireworks at Yas Island

Yas Island will light up the sky in celebration of the Saudi National Day with a massive fireworks show on Sunday September 23 at Yas Marina. The dazzling display will feature a selection of green-hued fireworks as a homage to the Saudi Arabian flag. While you’re there, check out the new Warner Bros. World™ theme park – we’ve been, it’s really fun. Gotham City was our favourite.Â
