Having a secret crush on someone is hard. You have to make sure that sure that you’re playing it cool. Not starring too much. Not laughing too much. Remembering to blink is also rather difficult but something needs to be remembered otherwise you just end up looking kinda crazy and not the cute but the psycho kind *takes a deep breath*, you know. So, now imagine you aced playing it cool and then SOMEONE goes and tells the world that you’ve been crushing on said hottie for ages and now, in short, your life as you know it is ruined. Cue the beloved Netflix Original movie, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.
The bestselling novel turned film follows Lara Jean (played by Lana Condor), your average Korean-American teenager whose secret love letters to all of her former crushes somehow get sent out. To avoid the drama that follows, she fakes a relationship with a boy named Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo). What unfolds through this phony relationship formed by the two characters ends up pulling at our heart strings, causing us to ugly cry and re-watch the film a few more (10 more) times.
Lana nailed the role of shy introvert while Noah is, well, a total dreamboat and a pretty good actor – which is the most important thing. Together, they were absolute YA rom-com perfection.
This is the super cute trailer that got us all excited!
