The Exchange will return to Netflix with its second season in 2024, the streaming giant has confirmed.

Fans of Season 1 will be pleased to hear that Season 2 will see the comeback of the beloved cast comprised of Mona Hussain, Rawan Mahdi, Mohammed Al Mansour, Hussain Almahdi and Faisal Alameri.

Directed by Jasem AlMuhanna, produced by Abdullah Boushahri and created and written by Nadia Ahmad, Anne Sobel, Adam Sobel, and Rulan Hassan.

The Exchange follows a unique story of two trailblazing women, Farida and Munira who have blazed a trail into the Kuwaiti stock market of the 1980s, but now that they have a foot in the door, can they continue to make progress, or will they lose everything they struggled to gain?

What happened in Season 1 of The Exchange?

Season 1 of The Exchange is set in 1987, three years before Saddam Hussein invades.

Based on the true story of the first two women, Farida and Munira, who made names for themselves in Kuwait’s male-dominated stock exchange, the story follows the cousins as they prove their talent in the cutthroat industry.

Farida is a recent divorcee who needs to provide for her teenage daughter and Munira is a clerk for the Bank of Tomorrow’s trading division.

The husband of Farida’s friend helps her join his team and she stands out due to her quick thinking and fast mathematics. Both Munira and Farida shine in the workplace and have to stand up for themselves and female representation.

When is The Exchange Season 2 release date?

Netflix has yet to share the exact date but it has shared that The Exchange Season 2 will be available to stream in 2024.
