We have rounded up some of the best Arabic series/movies that are going to be released on different streaming platforms all year. We liiive for an Arabic drama series, the absolute best and always leaves you wanting the next episode. 

1. Hazer Tagawol (AKA Curfew) 

Produced by one of the most prominent movie producers in the Arab film industry, Safei Eldin Mahmoud, the movie takes place in the fall of 2013 after the curfew decision in Egypt. Fatin is released from prison after spending 20 years for committing a horrific crime. We love a good crime, and cant wait to watch this on January 29th when it’s out on OSN.

2. Nina

Coming exclusively to the OSN Streaming app via Paramount+ on January 14th. In the first 30 episodes being released, we see that twin sisters are forced to discover that love conquers all types of distance.

3. Turkish Drama Series: Al Ikhtiyar Season 2 (AKA The Choice / Babil)

The series is back with a second season. Irfan is still struggling with human weakness after taking a dark path to save his son, that is now dragging him and everyone he knows to the abyss. Al Ikhtiyar season 2 is coming out on January 10th on OSN and we couldn’t be more excited to see what happens next.

4. Rajol Al Ahlam

It will be available January 14th also on Paramount+ through the OSN streaming app, Hugo Bermuez’s life takes an unexpected turn. Way to leave us on a cliff hanger!

5. Kharza Zarqa (AKA Blue Eye)

An Arabic Romeo and Juliet? We are all for it! The 60-episode series takes place in Lebanon between a Lebanese and Syrian, because of difficult curcumstances Zain and Alia’s love story is near impossible. This series is coming out on the 19th of January on OSN and we cant wait to binge all 60 episodes!

6. AlRawabi School for Girls

It was written and directed by Jordanian director Tima Shomali in collaboration with writer Shirin Kamal, and is allegedely now in the post stage, set to be released on Netflix in the first half of 2021. 

Anyways, you know where we’ll be all 2021, on the couch binging literally everything on all streaming platforms! 

7. El Ens w El Nems 

This excting film by Mohamed Henedy will be release to cinemas during Eid al-Fitr. This film also features the megastar Menna Shalaby as his co-star. The film is directed by the great Sherif Arafa. We cannot wait to see what he has to bring to the screens this Eid!

8. Thanya Wahda 

The great mix of Dina El Sherbiny and Mostafa Khater got us super pumped! It’s like two great worlds collding and we’re all here for it. Produced by Mohamed El Sobky 

9. Qamar 14 

A film produced by Ahmed El Sobky including all our fave stars from all ages and we can’t wait to watch it this summer. This film includes some stars such as Khaled Anwar, Ahmed Malek, Shereen Reda, Khaled El Nabawy, Ghada Adel, and many more cinema stars we LOVE. 

10. Ahmed Noterdame

This horror/comedy movie is the perfect mix of emotions, starring Ramez Galal and Ghada Adel. The last time we saw this due was in 2004 and we love that 2021 is truly the year of reunions. The film is currently being shown in cinemas. 

11. Leh Laa (Season 2)

We all loved the popular TV show Leh Laa (released in 2020) starring Amina Khalil. However we did not expect to have a second season until the megastar Menna Shalaby surprised her fans on Instagram by sharing the trailer for the second season of the show. It is expected to come out later this year, exclusively on Shahid VIP. We can’t wait to watch it and are sure we will love it just as much!

12. Mesh Ana 

Tamer Hosny is not only a very talented and well-known singer. But he has continued to impress us for decades with his acting skills and sense of humour in front of and behind the camera. 

13. El Aref (AKA The Knower)

El Aref is a film that combines many of our fave stars in the Arab world like: Carmen Bsaibes, Ahmad Fahmy, Ahmed Ezz, Moustafa Khater, and many more. The film comes out on July 14th. 

14. The Insult

The film is set in present-day Beirut. An insult, blown out of proportion finds Toni, a Lebanese Christian, and Yasser, a Palestinian refugee, in a court case that attracts national attention. Find the show on OSN’s August lineup!

15. Elwada’a Mustaqer (No Activity)

Not only has OSN released their own streaming app, but their very own original Arabic adaptation of an Australian comedy series ‘No Activity.’ This hilarious show follows the misadventures of two private security guards during a major sting operation. Ofc, Egypt’s top comedic talent such as Khaled Mansour, Shadi Alfons, Sayed Ragab, Shaimaa Seif, and Egyptian model and television celebrity Enjy Kiwan will be featured.
